Spiritual Meaning of Yellow
Vibrant and full of vigour, yellow is the ‘light bulb’ of creativity and inspiration.
Some may think of yellow as a spark. Some may also see yellow as knowledge or study, as yellow is linked with action, or the explosion of ideas. Think of all the sparks going on in the brain, when all the neurons are connecting.
Yellow is often syangised with connection or communication of kinds, as is it through connection / communication where we make our biggest strides.

Attributes of Yellow
- Fresh, zesty and impactful.
- Yellow cuts through lower negative energies, like lemon cuts through heavier denser foods.
- Vigorous / strength through being bold and positive.
- Somewhat showboating, in the most positive way. Think of the shape of a pyramid in the desert.
- Somewhat feminin (blond), however has strong links with other flashy elements within the male energy (gold).
- The sun, light, and all that is ‘warm light’.
- Often depictions of stars, or heavenly lights resonates with yellows and golds.
- Full and vibrant happiness ‘of a sunny disposition’.
- Playful, yet bold.
- Spiritual healing of kinds is often perceived as a golden yellow of kinds.
Complimentary Colour of Yellow
The open, bold, and playful yellow is linked with the mysterious and full bodied Purple!
Both yellow and purple have strong connotations with spirituality. Purple is often linked with The Crown Chakra and the fact that we open up to the stars, from our Crown Chakra. Interestly, stars in the sky, are often depicted as yellow, or golden yellow, connecting the two quite nicely.
Yellow Chakra Colour
Similar to a fire, yellow represents the Solar Plexus Chakra.
The Solar Plexus, along with the Sacral Chakra (orange or gold) and the upper limits of the Base Chakra (red) are often referred to as the Tanden. The Tanden is somewhat the vasel for your spiritual energy. Some may say it’s the fire within us, or the spark of creativity.
The Solar Plexus is close to the heart, and is somewhat linked with creativity and drive, from within.
The ancient symbol for the Solar Plexus Chakra is also of a triangular shape. This for me symbolises direction, but also somehow connects with the Ancient Pyramids, and the fact that they were a source of great power / knowledge / drive / spiritual connection.
The triangle shape after all, is one of the strongest shapes, and is utilised everywhere in terms of architecture and engineering.
Archangels & Spirit Guides associated to Yellow
I resonate with yellow a great deal, and love working with Archangel Jophiel and Archangel Uriel when it comes to yellow.
Both Archangels can be called in for inspiration and wisdom. Through symmetry and structure, beauty and purpose is created.
When we get into the more golden yellows, heading into orange, Archangel Gabriel comes into play.
In addition to the Archangels and Spirit Guides, some also consider other entities such as Cherubim to be of the golden yellow colour. Archangel Uriel for me very much connects with these multidimensional energy systems.
As per the image above, often I see yellow as a boiled sweet, or a set of crystals. This to me very much respects the fact that many frequencies can come through from this colour range, some visual, some taste, some simply give the feeling of ‘structure’. However it is perceived, this is an invigorating colour, something that we all adore.
